Grants to promote the rural economy from European Agricultural Fund

IMG_0318LEADER grants are available from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development to promote the rural economy. Boosting productivity and growth is a priority so grants must be used to develop business, create jobs and increase tourism. Defra has more information on the grants. The funding is awarded to successful applicants within LAG (Local Action Group) areas. The local group for our part of Sussex is: ‘Central Sussex’ – contact details:

  • support micro and small businesses and farm diversification
  • boost rural tourism
  • increase farm productivity
  • increase forestry productivity
  • provide rural services
